After about two hours, we paused for lunch in a shaded grove. Simple. Fresh. So good. The rest of the hike led us through more rice paddies and forest before arriving at the village.
Ban Pha Mon is quiet, humble, and absolutely authentic. We visited the temple and watched weaving in action. I asked questions. The locals smiled. There were no shops, no souvenirs, just life.
